Tesnilo za splošno uporabo Loctite 518 z lastnostjo konsistence gela, srednje trdnosti in odlične odpornosti na umazanijo je idealen za tesnjenje prirobnic iz jekla, aluminija in nerjavečega jekla. Anaerobno tesnilo strjuje kovinske površine brez prisotnosti zraka. Poleg uporabe na rigidnih kovinskih površinah je primeren tudi za toge prirobnice (ohišja motorjev in menjalniki).
