Preparation and regulation of compressed air (248)

Air preparation and regulation for pneumatic devices are key steps to ensure the efficient operation of a pneumatic system. For this purpose, preparation groups consisting of several elements are used and are installed between the compressor and the consumer (pneumatic cylinders, pneumatic tools, pneumatic logic circuits, etc.).

Ambient air often contains particulate matter, moisture and oil particles, which can adversely affect the performance of pneumatic devices. Therefore, filters are used to clean the air. A moisture separator or condensate pot or air dryer is used to remove moisture from the compressed air, as the presence of moisture can cause corrosion and reduce the efficiency of the system. If an oil compressor is used, the oil must be removed from the air as oil can damage pneumatic devices. For the operation of pneumatic tools, the compressed air must be oiled. For this purpose, we have a lubricator in the preparation group where the amount of oil added can be regulated. A special oil for pneumatic systems is used.

The pressure regulator allows you to set the desired operating pressure in the pneumatic system. Regulation is essential as different pneumatic devices require different pressures. To maintain a constant pressure, a feedback pressure regulator can be used which automatically adjusts the air supply according to changes in the system load.

Proper air preparation and regulation is essential to ensure stable operation of tyre devices, increase their service life and reduce wear and failure throughout the tyre system.
